> This is my website and I can say whatever I want.
> I AM #@$%^*! sick of allergies!!!!
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
I'm tired of feeling crappy. I'm fed up with the itching in my nose. I'm tired of blowing my nose. I'm tired of constanty chewing gum or drinking sodas since its the ONLY thing that provides temporary relief. I'm tired of driving home from work with kleenex up my nose. I'm tired of saying "my allergies are bothering me. i don't feel good". I'm tired of complaining that I'm tired of allergies. I'm tired of waking up with allergies and going to bed with them. I'm tired people asking me about what I'm doing to feel better as if it hadn't occured to me to take some medicine. "Oh, REALLY, there's med-i-ca-tion for this? I should check into that. Great idea." I take 2 medicines every single day and shots for the last 4 years and I've had allergies for the last 7 years, so don't tell me your fab ideas about how to feel better unless you've just had your drug approved by the FDA as the cure for allergies. I'm tired of having to go into the bathroom at work to blow my nose because the sound of my nose blowing is like a horn and I don't want to startle people sitting at their desks. I'm tired of saying the word, allergies.
Ok. I'm done. I just needed to get that out. Let us never speak of this again. I do realize that there are worse things than allergies. Sometimes, I just get a little frustrated.

> Today is dreary.
> I went to a new gift store last week to browse. They had tons of nice glass ornaments -- my favorites. There was one tree decorated all with glass ornaments of sweets: glittery ice cream cones, colorful gingerbread cookies, sprinkly cupcakes and slices of layered cakes and pies. Sweets are a good idea and i like how they look; all delicious, just like the holidays. Come to think of it, i don't remember seeing a doughnut....a krispy kreme would translate well into glass.
> I haven't been good about keeping up the Movie Night page. For one thing, i've missed a couple. For another, it hasn't been as regular as it once was. We had one Friday night where we saw the orginal (japanese) version of the RING. It was spooky. Those who had seen the american version agreed that it was a little better than the original.

> I paid my first visit to the Cheesecake Factory at lunch with work folk. In my old age, I'm growing tired of big food and big food chain restaurants. Their menu is a spiral bound notebook; with half menu and half advertisements. It was sort of depressing. But, i'm sure their cheesecake is fabu (if 'big' is any indication) -- I left my peice there for the able-bodied-dairy-digesters.

> We removed 14 bags of leaves from our backyard saturday. That was just from the backyard, and we didn't even finish. The yard now looks decent instead of a total wreck. There's still another tree that hasn't lost its leaves yet.
> Our outdoor christmas lights are up! WAHOO! The last couple of years we seem to wait until the coldest, grayest day to get it done. This time, it was a perfect fall day.
> I have happily abandoned the beaded ornament idea. Instead, I started stringing some of those beads to go on my table-top small tree. It's kinda time consuming, but its going to look neat. I would have finished but i ran out of shiny reds. FYI: Last night at Michaels, I saw some beaded ornament kits. They instruct you through a weaving bead/wire deal to get the middle constructed.

> I better change the name of my site to allergypie. I saw the doctor this morning, and it looks like i'm back to getting shots every week instead of every other. I'm nothing but a grumpy, miserable wreck---and well, that's just not my natural disposition.
> These crafty soaps are super cool. Great packaging/concept. (link from currently)

> I've had bangs for 30 years. Recently, I decided that it was time for a change. Here's a sketch of how its going so far.

> Saturday night I decided to cook up a chicken spinach bacon pasta recipe that I saw in Cooking Light. I cooked the chicken and the bacon and the spinach and the pasta and then threw them on the same plate and sat down to eat. I took a couple of bites and then lost my appetite. What a waste after spending all that time cooking.
So, this leads me to my reasons for enjoying baking over cooking, which i've only just now pinpointed. When you bake, you are working with raw ingredients like butter, eggs, sugar, milk, oil, flour and such. All things that don't have much smell or appeal as 'food'. However, when you combine them and then put them in the oven, they turn into something magical and new and completely different than before. Different = appetizing. Familiar = unappetizing.
> I tried to start a beaded/wire/snowflake ornament idea for christmas presents over the weekend, but it went nowhere. I couldn't get the wires to fashion together in a way that kept them in the same place. I've read on the internet that there are actually 'kits' for this (found at my local craft store), but i haven't seen any (at my local craft store). I may have to abandon that idea and do something different. I guess I'm kinda lukewarm on the whole idea to begin with, but i liked the idea of working with beads. I feel like i've done everything and i usually try to work with something new each year. I've done the felt, wood/gems/glitter, sculpey. ok, so i realize that that isn't everything, but that's all i can think of right now and I DO have my limits...crafts with popsicle sticks or pipe cleaners are out.

> I made a handy little list of christmas shopping links, on the left, of cool places to shop online. It's as much for my use as yours. These are all great sites with nifty unique gifts. Enjoy!
> My allergies are super crappy today, but what else is new?

Friday: November 15, 2002
> Sitting at my desk at work, I try to end the work week with a jammin mp3. (heh --I said 'jammin' ) MC Hammer's "Can't touch this" is one of my favorites. Its a good way to clean the brain slate. I guess, i don't have many mp3s to choose from.

> Went to see Comedian last night. That Jerry guy is a hoot.
> I took a look at the back yard this morning. Leaves are everywhere.
> I recently got a straightening iron. My hair is already straight, but i had been noticing some girls with extra straight on the ends---where most hair naturally curls slightly under. A friend actually found it for me at goodwill. So, i tried it out last night and it did what it promised. That's all i have to report.

> I came across a couple of note-worthy articles. One of them is about Yoshitomo Nara. ---which reminds me of that t-shirt I want at Giant Robot. ahem. (ok, so i've started my wish list.) The other is an interview with Julian Gatto on mumbleboy. The interview contains some good links.
> Friday night, I am going to see Harry Potter. I can't wait to be in the midst of the crowds and buzz and excitement. ( i like crowds, i like crowds, i like screaming children, i like waiting in line, i like crowds.... )

Tuesday: November 12, 2002
> Last night I dreamed that I saw my innards at the doctor's office and my organs had eyes and mouths. I was totally shocked. And they looked equally shocked to be seen. The end. ( I promise to never bore you with my dreams again )
> Dear Santa, All I want for Christmas is this hot dog cooker. I've been very good. Love, Sleepypie.

> Meet Mr. Friday Sun Face man.
> I haven't painted in a while. When there's too much going on, like travels and errands and holidays and websites, i can't seem to clear my mind. And if my mind isn't clear, then i can't paint. And my painting room is cluttered and ugly. Its got canvases leaning against the walls on all sides. Its got an old dresser that I don't want anymore. The dresser is mostly full of old clay sculptures and my unfinished diorama. Art has a tendency to just pile up. Its hard to know where it all goes. Maybe if we build a house, we can have a dedicated room for old art. You hate to throw it away, but you sort of hate to keep it. Sometimes its hard to work in there with all of the old art laying around.
On the other hand, i'm very lucky to have such a room. After visiting san diego, i have a revived appreciation for square footage. Perhaps, as a start, I should just get in there and freshen things up by cleaning and moving some stuff around.

I don't like the taste of hershey's syrup. On vacation, we ordered a fancy italian dessert. Profiterales. puffed pastry things cut in half with ice cream in the middle. they had drizzled hershey's syrup on top. It has a distinct taste. When i'm ordering fancy italian desserts with names that i can barely pronounce, the LAST thing that i want to taste is something I can buy at the grocery store for 2 bucks. Would it be THAT hard for them to find some gourmet chocolate syrup? i mean, I KNOW chocolate is a rare commmodity, but a little effort would go a long way.
> Whole Foods has added dried cranberries to their salad bar. I am all about some cranberries. I tried some Butternut and wild rice soup. It was good. it had pecans and apple cider and spices in the ingredients. It was not very soup-like. more like a sweet potato side dish dessert thing.

Nohohon is a new japanese character (a cat) at DreamKitty. His name means "without a care", which is funny--but aren't there enough cat/rabbit characters? Bring on more bread men and dogs with wigs.

> Just got back from a great trip to San Diego. On vacation, I stumbled into a store out of denmark called Oilily. They make pricey women's and childrens clothing. Great colors and design. Find a store near you and check it out or order a catalog (they don't sell anything online and the site is all in flash). All I could afford was a wallet, but they did have some neat watches for about $40. Here's one of their children's bags.
> T R I P  H I G H L I G H T S in random order:
1. Ate my first meatball sandwich
2. Went to Mexico for the first time
3. Tasted Poi
5. Had one slice of delicious fresh-made hot apple pie topped with a slice of sharp cheddar cheese.
4. Went to the Desert
6. Ate at a place in the desert that had giant (6") single-stemmed rose stickers all over the restroom including inside the toilet bowl. (the men's room had pictures of cash bundles and coins). Saw giant baby.
7. The beach
8. Thai roasted chicken with peanut sauce
9. Tide pools.
> I saw Spirited Away last week, the much anticipated film by Miyazaki (guy that did Princess Mononoke). We had really been looking forward to it and I'm not sure what to say about it...its super complex and weird and well-done. If you decide to see it, don't expect to understand what's going on, but expect to be surprised. I got lost somewhere between the giant baby and soot workers and the spirit-world bath house and the stinky guy with the thorn in his side. The radish spirit was cool.
