If the song isn't cute enough for you, stay for the contortionist moves at the end!

I have stumbled into the world of Re-ment --- endless wonderful miniatures from Japan. The Re-ment dolls aren't that cute but I love this pig. Haven't been able to figure out what her story is and I need to get back to work.

Check out the Re-ment Addicts Pool on Flickr.

Did you really think that Blythe wouldn't show up at some point?

Next time you get paid and you're at the store looking for something to throw your money at, try these Doctor Kracker Pumpkin See Cheddar Flatbreads. About $5/box. Super loads of protein, fiber and the such. Whatever you do, though, don't put any hummus on them.

Before I go, nice serving board over at Modish Vintage.

I like this bird/lock necklace over at Ornamental Things. Its one of many things I like over there... Someone's Grampa is awesome too. And this owl..

And this blue elephant locket!!!! Maybe that elephant is my favorite right now.

Friday June 13

I heard about a Farmer's Market (that's one farm, not multiple) near our house and today was my second visit. If you live in east Austin, its Green Gate Farms on 969.

Last week when I stopped, I picked up some bright red tomatoes and some onions. I don't much like tomatoes, but they were small and I was planning to put them in a salad for color. And every person you talk to that likes tomatoes always beats you over the head with how good home grown tomatoes are. Good enough. When I got home, I decided to give them a real test - I sliced them up, drizzled on some extra virgin olive oil, sprinkled some sea salt and I ate a slice. And I liked it! a lot.

Today, I went back for more. And decided to try some potatoes and some spaghetti squash, which I've never had before. YAY!

And I bought that corn and the parmesan at the real grocery store. On my way to the Farmer's Market.

Tuesday June10

I love these small hanging wood birds at Anthropologie, $14.00 each. If they had them locally, I would have not been able to leave the store without taking them with me, but they are only available online. Aren't they cute? I can just see a pair of them, somewhere in my room. There's 4 different ones to choose from.

Adam and I started a pottery class together a few weeks ago and its been a breath of fresh creative air. I am focusing on tiny pots, some will be for whatever I want to put in them and some will be tiny planter pots for tiny cactus. I was carving on these yesterday. I can't wait to get going with the glazing.

Wednesday June 4

+ In April, myself and friend threw a baby shower for a very good friend of ours. I am thinking about her today because her son was born this morning. I never shared any of the shower pictures, but in particular, I really loved the cookies that my co-hostess made! They are super thin crispy sugar cookies dressed in a baby bird with egg design that went along with the invitations. And I adored how she displayed them with that straw material. They were a hit! The cupcakes in the background were done by me

+ I contributed the cupcakes --They weren't my usual chocolate cake with white icing, which I regret somewhate. I found some premade sugar flowers at a local bakery and put those on the tops - which made for a nice, simple presentation. And the color of the pineapple and strawberries looked so fresh and summery - the result of a happy accident.

Oh May, we barely knew each other...
