ARCHIVES: APRIL 2010

This is the watercolor palette that I use. I made it last summer when we took a pottery class. It's infinitely more wonderful to paint using something that you made than a plastic one from the art store. I was able to make it exactly how I wanted it to lay out.
The bummer is that I made a water cup for it, but I broke it the first time I set it down to use it!

Adam just sent me a link to this cool antique dish (on ebay) and said I could use it to clean my brushes. Ahhh yes.. that would be perfect. (And, yes, that's a dragon in the middle!) It's an antique - sells for around $400. If I take pottery again, perhaps I can make my own.

I found this Kia Neill work over at Ashes and Milk - it's pretty wonderful to look at.
..... I just googled her and realized that her show is the one I meant to see earlier this year at Women and Their Work in Austin --- D'oh.
