ARCHIVES: MARCH 2009

Thursday March 26

We have a side blog that gets updated about 4 times a year and it's housed over at Blogger. After using it a few times myself, I have a few issues that I wouldn't expect from a powerful bloghouse in the year 2009.

1. Why is the ding dang editing window soooo smalll?
Now usually, I am the first one to say that websites are designed too wide. And that's fine if they want to accomodate for the 800x600 crowd. Fine. Is there a reason it's only 240 pixels TALL!?!?! I mean, I can't hardly remember what I said at the top of my post, by the time I scroll down whatever picture I have placed in between blocks of copy!!!

2. For second, why can't it remember what font and what size font I am using for body copy, from the last time I posted? Why do I have to guess??? It always comes in default to some serif font that we NEVER use.

3. For three, why can't it place the photos IN THE ORDER
that I have selected them? It DOES get a little difficult dragging around my giant photos in that TINY window. A little cumbersome.
..

Okey smokes -- I'm done. My post about the AUSTIN RODEO will have to wait! Stay tuned.

SUNDAY March 22

We recently tossed cluttered mismatched shower products in favor of some nice serene plastic bottles. Highly recommended to start your morning off in the quietest way possible! Additionally and unexpectedly, it's helpful to be able to actually see the contents and not have to fiddle with any messy lids or weird flip tops.

At a local French restaurant, I recently had Salad Lyonnaise for the first time and found it to be as superb as I thought it would be. This is not exactly the same thing, but the theme is the same and I love the combination of ingredients and textures. I find it easy to make and completely delicious with the help of my own homemade vinaigrette. I hereby declare this Salad & Egg dish to be THE DISH of the Summer of 2009.

There's much to do in this month of March - enjoy the weather and the new daylight savings time, for one thing. For another, I have picked up a bit of exercising. In the evenings when Adam goes outside with his coffee, I put on a 30 minute yoga or pilates session and get some 'moving around' done. I admit that I am not motivated by my own desire to be good, but only by my throbbing lower back pain. Regardless, it's been a welcome addition to my day. Cheers for new things!

WHICH REMINDS ME....... Check out this wonderful example of back exercises that I found on an FDA website!!!!!! (To View: refresh the browser, because it only plays like 3 cycles and then stops.)

THURSDAY March 12

ALL OUR FUTURE ARE BELONG TO ME

Guess what I got? Yes. A new cell phone, made in 2009! I can make videos, take pictures, look on the webernette, watch videos, IM, text, talk for minutes on end, save, edit, options, and gallery!

Tonight, I am posting a reading list that I have been working on. I don't know how useful this will be to anyone else, however I sure hope so and I like the idea of having a list. There will also be a link to it under the "Mmmm..." feature from here forth.

SUNDAY MARCH 1

I ordered 2 tissue box covers from Head to Toe on Etsy and am super happy with them. Now it doesn't matter if I buy ugly tissue boxes! And when my allergies are bad, I can fall asleep cradling my tissues because they are nice and soft and I am not afraid to be seen with them

UPDATE: These tissue covers are reversible!
